LGBTQ Campus Projects and Organizations

            Colleges are now offering LGBTQ alliances, coalitions, and resources which provide support and sponsor extracurricular events. The multicultural center at Cal State Fresno is a successful example of LGBT campus integration, promoting a non-discrimination policy across campus. Similarly, the LGBT resource center at UCR provides peer connections, related events, and an LGBT library. Aside from being the most diverse university in California (and sixth most diverse in the nation), UCR  is also ranked as a five-star campus on the LGBT-friendly Campus Climate Index. LGBT campus clubs are essential to providing inspirational speakers at colleges, organizing condom give-aways, and spreading HIV awareness.
